Abstract

Ruas JL. Karangkobar Banjarnegara highway is a collector's road, on the
road there are often traffic accidents that result in fatalities and materials. Traffic
safety on the road is very important. Indicators in determining traffic safety are
the number or not of accidents that occur on the road. One of the locations that are
prone to traffic accidents is Karangkobar Highway, Banjarnegara Regency,
Central Java. This study was conducted to find out the location of accident-prone
areas (blackspots), find out the relationship between the value of fingers - finger
bends, degrees of curvature, land and superelevation. One of the causes of traffic
accidents is the existence of geometric roads that are less than ideal. Therefore, it
is necessary to evaluate the geometric path, especially at the black spot.
Primary data collection that includes LHR average speed data in 2021, road
geomtric conditions and road facilities equipment. While secondary data that
includes LHR data 2016 - 2020 from binamarga website and accident data
obtained from Satlantas Banjarnegara. The research method used in this study is
the comparison method. This method compares the situation in the field with
existing regulations, in this case used geometric planning procedures for intercity
roads in 1997. Based on the results of the analysis of accident data, in the black
spot of karangkobar highway banjarnegara regency, Central Java is at turn 1, turn
2 and land. The geometric conditions at all three points are not ideal that do not
yet comply with existing rules such as finger bends, curved degrees and landness
that are less than the minimum standard.
